Help Peroxide Mocha!

Dear Friends Of Peroxide Mocha,

As you may know, it's an uphill battle to promote a new music act, and even though we've been around for 11 years in some capacity, we're still pretty "new" - and we need all the help we can get in promoting our band and our album "Making Out With Strangers". Here are 3 super easy things you can do right now to help us out!

1) If you have an account on iTunes, please submit a quick review of "Making Out With Strangers" - it doesn't need to be long, just say something nice about it and give it a rating. If you don't have an iTunes account it only takes a second to make one.

Here's the direct link to the album in the iTunes music store:

2) If you have an account at CDBaby, or have a second to make one, please post your review there too - you can even re-post the same review from iTunes if you want!

3) We've sent a promo to KEXP radio in Seattle, one of the only radio stations with a history of playing our older material, but it doesn't look like anyone has played it yet - so please take a quick second and fill out this request form, requesting your favorite song from Peroxide Mocha's "Making Out With Strangers":

Thank you in advance for your time & energy! We really need your help to spread the word!

Love,
Pete & Rachel

You Totally Want Bread

Do you like bread? How about home-made bread? I bet you'd do pretty much anything for a nice warm loaf of home-made bread right about now... I know I would. Well have I got a deal for YOU!
Any person who can prove that they have forced a DJ to play a song off of our awesome new album "Making Out With Strangers" either on the radio or in your favorite club will get a nice fluffy loaf of bread baked just for you! Plus, we'll even post a picture of you holding your loaf of bread right here on our website so all your friends will know how cool you are. What could possibly be more awesome than that?

Making Out With Strangers! And stuff!

Sorry we have been so quiet lately right after the release of our album, but Rachel and I both have a ton of things going on these days and you know how life sometimes just gets in the way. I'm still adjusting to life in San Francisco, and Rachel has made a move to the other side of the country for a while. We've done this countless times before though, and thanks to the miracle of the internet we aren't going to disappear or anything.

So! Making Out With Strangers is now out in various digital music shops including iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, CDBaby or whatever shop you usually buy music from. If there's some digital shop that doesn't have it and you think we should sell it there, please let us know! We had a few pro-duplicated CD-Rs printed with full color printing and nice inserts with lyrics and everything - they look really super awesome. I just started mailing them out to radio and mags and such this week. We've got some available for purchase from the donut nook records shop too, and they're on their way to CDBaby right now in case you'd rather purchase from there.

We're getting a lot of cool remixes back now and have a couple single/promo/EP things planned with some b-sides and whatnot - we'll be announcing that very shortly.

OK, well...

I did end up posting the Christmas EP on the site - it's too good not to share with everyone! Please make sure to download the digital booklet as well and enjoy the awesome photography of Philip Douglas Gilston.

What We're Doing

Here are some updates for you!

1) Our album is literally on its way to digital distribution right now and should be out around beginning-to-mid-January!

2) I'm putting the finishing touches on a little freebie christmas EP thing for our friends. It won't be posted on the site, so if you want it now would be a really good time to somehow become one of our friends

3) We've done a couple of nice remixes for other people (I know! Peroxide Mocha! Remixing!) and those should be on their way out the door soon, or possibly later, or not at all.

Love,
Pete

The album is DONE

Holy wow. I can't believe that the album is actually done. Like, I mean, done done. And all official and everything. Rachel and I have literally been working on this one for a little over three years total. No matter how many other things I've had going on over the last 3 years, this album has always been on my mind as my #1 priority and now I'm sitting here with all the mastered tracks in-hand, which sound amazing (thank you Jeremy!), all our songs are now published (Hot And Awkward Music/Unicorn Factory, ASCAP, for those keeping track), I've licensed our cover tune (a surprise!) and the cover art is finished. It is literally COMPLETED and the only thing I have left to do is review it all one last time, then set up the album with CDBaby tonight, and drop it in the mail.

Wow.

My brain sometimes sucks

I had a really, really good idea for a blog post this morning, but now I can't remember what it is.
*sigh*
